What Bella and I thought of the products:

The shampoo has a energized citrus aroma, if it wasn't for dogs...I would use it! The consistency is that of conditioner. It is a creamy white color and very thick. A little goes a long way, as it lathers up well! After Bella was all dried off, her coat was both soft, clean, and fluffy. :)

The Pawstik smells wonderful. It smells very natural and fresh and reminds me almost of Burts Bee. Bella still has soft puppy paws, which means I don't have to worry about cracked paws yet. However I still use the pawstik everyday to protect her little paws from becoming that way. It makes them smooth and extra soft. At first I was concerned she might lick it off but that wasn't the case at all.

Another aspect I enjoyed about Opie & Dixie is the commitment to all natural and organic products. This means that I can rest assure that what I use on Bella  is safe and will not harm her. She is a part of my family and I want to give her the best I can give. Being all natural means I can actually pronounce every ingredient in the product.

I would recommend Opie & Dixie to all pet owners looking for quality products to pamper their little ones!

  7. A couple months ago my sister-in-law flew her Chihuahua in from Californina (to Nashville, TN) so I could temporarily take in her dog, as she was going through a move and couldn't take her precious dog, Bo. I gladly accepted. I was told last month that she was moving into an apartment and asked if I would like to permanently keep Bo. It was great news, because I had gotten so attached!! He's my little buddy.

  15. We found our dog on the street, and she'd clearly been on her own for a while; she was skinny, filthy, and very, very sweet. No tags, no chip, no posters, no craigslist, no neighbors with any knowledge, so she moved in with us, and she's turned out to be just about the best dog I've ever known.

Before we got so cozy, though, just a couple of days after she came to us, my guy and I went out for a while, and left her alone in the house. He'd had carry-out ribs the day before, and the bones were still in the kitchen garbage. We came home, and this little glutton was stretched out the couch surrounded by rib bones and covered in barbeque sauce, all sticky and half-asleep. I though my neat-freak husband would lose his mind, but it was too funny for anybody to be mad. We hide the trash now. though.
